Vernon, a native Washingtonian, was born in the shadow of Tahoma (Mt Rainier) and grew up West of the Cascades of Washington and Oregon. Vernon is a married Father of three boys: Mac, Wyatt, and Jackson. He and his Wife Michele made their home in the forrests North of Spokane, Wa. Vernon is a small business owner, proudly operating Cascadian Olympic Ventures, LLC As a bug guy, he manages Tahoma Specialty Pest Services. As a beekeeper he operates Craig Family Honey Farms, which he calls “my retirement gig.” From rescuing wildlife to protecting the bees, Vernon is also a man that appreciates, celebrates, and honours the outdoors as well as those that make the trees, plants, and hives their home. Oftentimes, Vernon can be found hiking the trails of Tahoma (Mt Rainier), perfecting his garden, hunting for mushrooms, or taking his electric bike out for a leisurely ride through rain, sunshine, and even snow. Vernon’s constant companions are his three boys who completely enjoy all the many adventures had. Vernon’s favorite cuisine: authentic Mexican food, but of course there are many other likes. Vernon loves technology and is enthraled by anything Tesla, SpaceX, Mars, etc. Vernon is a 3D printing hobbyist, computer nerd, a HAM radio operator (KG7AVJ) a beekeeper, a hunter, firearms and archery enthusiist, a gardner, a tinkerer. Vernon often jokes that if you need a hobby, he’d be glad to give you one. For Vernon, life is about learning, experience, and “living the dream.” Next time you see him, say “hi” and get ready for a really great story, as he has a few to share and you will learn something amazing along the way.
